New Zealand Active Investor Plus Visa

The Investor 1 and Investor 2 visa categories have been discontinued from 28 July 2022 and replaced by new Active Investor Plus (A1+) Visa which opened for applications on 19 September 2022.Check out requirements to be met and application charges for Active Investor Visa:

REQUIREMENTS FOR ACTIVE INVESTOR PLUS (A1+) VISA

The A1+ visa encourages direct investments in New Zealand companies rather than passive investments in private equity, venture capital, listed equities and philanthropy. While detailed criteria is yet to be announced, broad criteria for A1+ visa is as under. Investors:

must commit to either:
- direct investment of NZD 5 million; or
- indirect investment of NZD 15 million
will be allowed investments over 3 year period and maintain the same until the end of the 4th year;
must spend at least 117 days in New Zealand over the 4 year period;
need to meet English language requirements (IELTS 5).

APPLICATION CHARGES

Application charge including immigration levy for Active Investor Plus Resident Visa is NZD 7,900 (application charge NZD 4,750 and immigration levy NZD 3,150).
