FLIGHT TRAINING COURSES

The pilot training school provides the following aeroplane flight training courses:

  • Commercial Pilot Licence (CPL);
  • Instrument Ratings – Single and Multi Engine;
  • NZ Diploma in Aviation – General Aviation Strand (Level 5);
  • NZ Diploma in Aviation – Airline Preparation Strand (Level 6);
  • NZ Diploma in Aviation – Flight Instructor Strand (Level 6).

 

All training programs are safety oriented and focus on the following:

  • Basic and advanced handling skills;
  • Emergency Maneuvers;
  • Navigation Techniques;
  • Mountain Flying;
  • Night Flying;
  • Crew coordination and management;
  • Low level & reduced visibility operation;

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

  • Age 18 years at commencement;
  • Passed High School with good grades in English, Maths and Physics;
  • Be proficient in English (IELTS 6.0, PTE 50);
  • Online Adapt Pre-screening Assessment with Medium, Above Average or High result;
  • CAANZ Class 1 Medical Certificate (CAANZ medical examiners are available overseas);
  • Police Certificate from home country and all coutries lived in for 6 months or more in last 5 years;
  • Some experience of being around aircraft or evidence of self-motivated efforts to educate about aircrafts and the profession of being a pilot.

HOW TO ENROL

To Enrol submit the ‘Registration Form’ alongwith following documents:

  • Certified copy of passport;
  • Copies of academic results;
  • Copies of previous aviation exam or licence passeses, if any;
  • Copy of English test result;
  • ADAPT Pre-screening Assessment Result;
  • Copy of Police Certificate;
  • Copy of NZ Class 1 Medical Certificate;
  • CV outlining your academic and employment history, if any.

 

All Documents must be in English or accompanied by English Translation.

AIRCRAFTS

A range of Cessna and Piper aircraft types are available – from glass cockpit Piper PA-44 Seminole, three Cessna 172 aircraft with Garmin NXi, New Generation Cessna 172s, through to fully-refurbished Cessna 152, aerobatic capable aircraft that are an absolute pleasure to fly. Ab-initio training is initially provided on Cessna 152 and students progress to other aircrafts as they progress in their training.

ACCOMMODATION

A range of accommodation options are available to the students as under:

  • Limited onsite furnished single room accommodation with power, wireless internet, board (breakfast and dinner from Monday to Friday), weekly cleaning and fresh linen service provided – rent NZD 300 per week.
  • Private accommodation with local families with all meals included – rent NZD 195 per week
  • Furnished flats for self-catering students – rent NZD 130 plus power, internet, board expenses.
